We are seeking a Business Banker-Cash Management Specialist at our Sterling, IL location.

The Business Banker- Cash Management Specialist role exists to develop, expand and manage commercial deposit relationships with Sterling Federal Bank identified prospects and customers. The Business Banker-Cash Management Specialist provides solutions to needs and problems by provide exemplary customer service, cross selling products, identifying referrals and deepening relationships with customers so that every customer states: "I love my bank!".

Precise Roles, Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Contact at least 5 identified top prospects weekly and prepare weekly activity report, turned in by 3 PM Friday afternoon
• Onboard new commercial deposits to hit quarterly and annual new money goal
• Perform business deposit account maintenance
• Complete quarterly and semiannual calls to Top 100 customers and manage a portfolio of prospects and establish a disciplined calling strategy that targets key decision maker
• Attend and participate in business banking team sales meetings
• Record and report monthly referrals in all areas of business
• Setup new Business Online Banking customer according to specifications from the Online Banking Agreements and enter maintenance updates
• Maintain up to date business online agreements and attach them to the customers profile in Phoenix (Including ACH, Wire, and Mobile Deposit/RDC)
• Maintain the ACH Calendar and work with accounting to ensure no processing errors
• Maintain Business Deposit Growth Tracker
• Answer phones following MOT standards
• Be knowledgeable of bank products and services to make excellent recommendations
• Work with all parties to provide timely resolution to any Cash Management issues that arise exceeding the customer's needs
• Conduct marketing campaigns
• Order checks and debit cards for customers as needed
• Perform administrative duties such as correspondence, typing or filing as needed
• Complete ABA courses monthly as needed
• Complete and pass 2 TGIMU courses weekly
• Actively participate in and take turns leading daily huddles
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Two years' banking experience preferred
• Two years' clerical experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Professionalism
• Team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Attendance and reliability are crucial

Hours

• 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
• Saturday work, as needed
• Available to work additional hours when necessary
